Incredible India

Do you remember that post I wrote a year ago in which explained what it means for my travel? Feel, experience… This way has been our trip to India. But, let us start at the beginning…

All my life wanting to travel India and suddenly my partner had the idea to go there. To which I quickly responded buying the plane tickets before he regretted it. Hala, was done, we were going to India after the wedding season! The next step was to hire the services of a driver there. And this is how I got in touch with Raju and Sunil, from Incredible Rural India. And so, while I was still involved with my weddings without time to breathe, they took care to organize everything I asked them, a real pleasure to work with them!

In 12 days we visited Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Orchha, Khajuraho and Varanasi. One part by car with our dear friend Ram (undoubtedly the best driver in the area), another by train (a great experience), and finally by internal plane. We have seen hundreds of temples, forts and palaces –among them the Taj Mahal–, we have bought more than we needed and eaten to burst because Indian cuisine is wonderful! We have ridden on elephant, rickshaw and tonga. And we have been blown away by the immense freeways and the chaos of the roads. They have massaged our bodies as “if there were no tomorrow” and we have felt like celebrities with so many photos that they have asked us… We have seen sunrise and sunset in the Ganges and participated in their ceremonies. But above all, we have met great people and we have felt at home, without a doubt it is one of the most welcoming countries in which I have been. And sure more crazy too! Here you have a very small selection among the hundreds of photos we have taken. Namaste!
