A unique destination wedding location?

The Cantabrian sea cannot be compared with the warm and crystal clear waters of Ibiza or the Caribbean, but its sheer coast and its untamed beaches do not have to envy them either. The climate is not too stable and the absence of rain is never guaranteed, but the Basque gastronomy has no real competitor. Neither its landscape, nor its folklore. Visiting the Basque Country does no one leave untouched, so imagine if you get married here!

Celebrating a wedding outside the couple´s place of residence is becoming a trend, and that is not so strange. Besides being an original celebration, the guest list is drastically reduced, because only those who really wish to share this big day with you will assist. In this regard the North of Spain offers great possibilities. Not only for the party in itself with precious venues like caseríos –traditional Basque houses-, palaces, tower houses, wine cellars or modern restaurants, but also for the entertainment for the couple and their guests.

The options for tourists are infinite. We could travel along the coast from Biarritz to the majestic city of Santander, crossing San Sebastián, with its famous Concha Beach or its Michelin starred restaurants, and Bilbao, known for its Old Center or the Guggenheim Museum. We could visit picturesque places such as San Juan de Luz, Getaria, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe or San Vicente de la Barquera. In the interior of this region cities like Vitoria, Logroño or Pamplona stand out because of the Cathedral of Santa María, the beautiful vineyards and wine cellars or the folklore. Morever, in the National Parks of Gorbea, Urkiola or Urbasa you could be a mendizale (a Basque mountaineer) for one day.

Come to celebrate your special day with Panateneas. We guarantee you a wedding with romantic details, delicious food and wonderful surroundings!
