Last summer, talking with Laura and Helena –the photographers who hide behind Ramita en Rama– we talked about what we like elopement weddings. And they, who are from the inside of the country, said they love doing that kind of sessions with views of the sea. It was that comment that led us to organize an editorial that showed what this type of intimate and sometimes secret wedding would look like in an environment like the Cantabrian Sea.
We chose for this the Muriola beach, in Barrika, and the cliffs that surround that area, characterized by the famous Flysch, its steep cliffs and its wild beaches. In addition to a beautiful environment, we were fortunate to have an exceptional couple: Andrea and Mikis, with much love to take and zero shame. And a great team that I’m going to show you.
Angela and Nuria were in charge of the decoration. The first is the artist behind the floral workshop Harlem Studio; while the second, specialized in the art of macramé, has a studio in Algorta, Flor de Awita in which she also teaches workshops. For that day they designed and created an arch and a beautiful bouquet.
As regards the costumes, the dresses that Andrea wore belong to the Azala Novias collection. Maite is the designer behind this workshop located in Bilbao and focused on brides who want to feel themselves on their wedding day. For its part, the suit and accessories that Mikis wore were custom designed in My Embassy Bilbao, tailor-made tailoring atelier for fine, elegant and modern grooms.
The stylist Alba Herrera took care of the hair and makeup. Also to incorporate in the mane of Andrea the different jewel headdresses of La Unike Novias. Gisele is the designer of this magical studio located in Madrid where they perform tiaras, crowns and unique headdresses for each bride. And the Milagros Restaurant gave us a little bit of its space so that we could carry out all these preparations.
